The Takeoff
In the film, director Savva Kuliš presents the life of the self-taught Russian inventor Konstantin Eduardovich Tsiolkovsky, rightly called the father of cosmonautics. He dealt with airships, rockets, space issues, and the use of solar energy. His contemporaries did not take his bold hypotheses seriously, and only a few friends supported his work. Several biographical studies were written about him during his lifetime.
